Microsoft Word, Intermediate

This hands-on class covers the skills and information needed to more effectively create complex documents. It is designed for anyone who already has a strong foundational knowledge of Word and wishes to develop greater proficiency and mastery.

Class format will provide time for the instructor to recommend best practices, explain new concepts, introduce shortcuts, and answer questions. Participants will have time to apply new skills to real-world scenarios.

• Sorting Table Data

• Controlling Cell Layout

• Performing Calculations in a Table

• Creating a Chart within Word

• Adding Excel Tables & Charts to a Word Document

• Applying Document Themes

• Inserting Content Using Quick Parts

• Reusing and Modifying Boilerplate Text with Building Blocks

• Using Field Codes to Automate Content Creation

• Utilizing Document Templates to Expedite Layout & Formatting

• Creating, Modifying & Accessing your own Custom Templates

• Controlling the Flow of Paragraphs and Documents

• Inserting Section Breaks

• Applying Column Layouts

• Linking Text Boxes

• Simplifying and Managing Long Documents

Fee

Members: $308 per person
Non-members: $433 per person

Attendance

Registered participants who fail to attend a class ('no-shows') will be charged full class cost. The 'no-show' fee may not be used as a credit for another EN class, or other type of event or service.

Cancellations made less than 10 business days prior to start of class will be charged full class cost. The charge may not be used as a credit for another EN class. or other type of event or service however, substitutions are welcome.
